Coach Profiles

 

 

 

Amer Armoush coaches our junior endurance group and is qualified to Level 2 in that discipline.

 

 

 

Sarah Bingham is qualified to Level 2 (sprints) and is involved with the Recreation Group

 

 

 

 

Bob Boyd is an experienced coach and former Junior International athlete. Qualified to UKA Level 3 and working towards Level 4 (throws), Bob is also a UKA tutor of the Level 1 course.  

 

 

 

 

 Paul English holds a Level 2 qualification in the endurance events and can regularly be found helping out with the junior endurance group.

 

 

 

 

Julie Feeney is a Level 2 qualified jumps and sprints coach. Julie is also kept busy as the Club  Secretary.

 

 

 

An athlete himself for over 30 years Jim Feeney is a level 3 performance coach for endurance events and level 2 for sprints.  Also Club Vice Chairman.

 

 

Janette Glenn . Janette is a Level 1 coach and assists in the Recreation group.

Trevor Jolly. Qualified to Level 1 Trevor assists in the Recreation Group and endurance groups

 

 

 

 

 

 

Judy Payling holds the Level 2 qualification (jumps) and leads the Recreation Group as well as being the clubs Kit / Clothing Officer.

 

Chris Rathbone and Steve Winnington Newly qualified Chris and Steve provide coaching assistance where needed whilst gaining experience.

 

Mike Rogers is qualified to Level 2 (jumps) and can be found coaching both the Recreation Group and those progressing out of it.

 

 

 

Nigel Smith is the club Membership Secretary and handles the attendance records. He also coaches sportshall athletics and javelin. He is qualified to Level 2 in Jumps & Sprints

 

 

Paul Smith: Recently qualified to Level 2 in throws Paul can be found coaching our young throwers.

 

 

 

 

  

Club Chairman Dave Turner is a Level 2 Endurance coach working with junior athletes

 

 

 

 

 Most of our coaches started off as ‘just parents’ who became more and more interested and involved in club life. Could you do the same? We are able to offer coaching courses to interested individuals (usually free of charge) in return for playing an active part in club life. Ask a coach or at the payment desk for more info.
